Add Feature to Allow Specific Gravity to be Changed for Different P/T Cases

At the moment, specific gravity is entered under Pipe Properties and cannot be changed for different pressure/temperature load cases. If there are different load cases, where a section of the model may be filled with water in Case 1 but filled wit...

Add design margins to piping loads being sent to structural

When it comes to exporting pipe support loads from AutoPIPE to STAAD, PipeLINK is an effective tool. While PipeLINK has most of the necessary functionality, there is a lack in the ability to add a Design Margin to the pipe support loads sent from ...

Add the capability to analyse multiple piping codes in a single model

Whilst using AutoPIPE Nuclear to assess pipework to ASME III, the models included different regions of pipework that were required to be assessed to ASME III Class 1 and Class 2 respectively. As it is not possible to assess to two different piping...

Multiple Ambient Temps for Hot Tie-in Case

Does any means exist to enter multiple ambient temperatures for piping? For example: Case 1: Header with tie-in valve operating at 375F. Will fit up proposed piping at 70F to tie-in valve in hot position. After tie-in valve is open header remains ...

Include ability to override in plane and out of plane Sustain Stress Indices (SSI) in User SIF dialog

The code allows you to reduce the SSIs based on more applicable data. Currently, AutoPIPE only lets you use SSI = 0.75SIF or SSI=1. ASME B31J allows you to reduce the SSI based on the following: Where sustained stress or moment factors are require...

Increase tag length or remove the restriction altogether (like Caesar II)

The current max length of tags is 36 characters. Tag is meanwhile just about the only play where we can save some element-specific information. For example in the case of a Support I would like to save AT LEAST the following:1) The designation of ...

Insert 2 node points when a flange is inserted, to allow the user to set the BW SIF

By default, when you insert a WN or Lap Joint flange in Autopipe, it does not account for SIF at the BW joint. User has to enter an additional node point at a flange length and define a Joint Type with a defined offset. This could be automated.

Total Length of Pipe

Once pipe properties are assigned to a run, the total length of the run with that property is calculated. For example I have 3 runs, a 2ft run, 4 ft run and 2 ft run. I assigned the property of A335P11 to the 2ft runs and SS36 to the 4ft run. Auto...
