Thanks Phil, much appreciated.
Thanks Hubert for this information. We do not cover integral attachments so 2022 A5 for us is essentially the same as A4. We will use our resources to focus on the new full 2024 code and plan to have this next year hopefully.
I havent done EN 13480 in AutoPIPE for a while so I dont have the options for such piping at mind. However, in "EN 13480-3:2017/A5:2022" (or the National version I have is "NEN-EN 13480-3:2017 (Issue 1:2017)/A5:2023"), under "17 Modification to 11.6, “Stress analysis of the run pipe”", it refers to modified formulae for Clause 12. Clause 12 is for pipe stress analysis. If AutoPIPE allows for stress evaluation due to Integral attachments, then it will have effect.
Also, there's a completely new edition, EN 13480-3 2024. Issued juli 2024. When will that version be included?
As per the website of the EU, the 2017 version (incl. amendments A1, A2, A3, A4) is still current, so any newer version doesnt presume conformity with the PED. See here; https://ec.europa.eu/docsroom/documents/51457
We have reviewed the impact of the changes in A5 and found out they do not affect any of the calculations we are concerned with, so they is no update for us to make. Do you believe this update has some affect on the results?
